Vigilius Haufniensis

This poem was written by Vigilius Haufniensis, awesome name-wearer and good friend of mine. I think this poem makes a good song as well, especially with the repeated refrain. Very Ballad-like.

The sun is rising
The day has come
Fall from dreaming
Back to reality
Look around
For something
Anything
Come face to face
With eternal nothing
Crickle, Crackle
Swig and Swallow
Drown the sorrow
Descend into morrow

The sun is high
Yet the world is dark
War is raging
Thousands dying
Look away
Keep lying
Dying
Hide away
In shadow and shame
Crickle, Crackle
Swig and Swallow
Drown the sorrow
Descend into morrow

The sun is setting
The day is ending
Close your eyes
Welcome insanity
Spiraling down
Further away
Nothing
An endless cycle
An eternal spiral
Crickle, Crackle
Swig and Swallow
Drown the sorrow
Descend into morrow
